Why superimmortalism is better than theism

The term better has many meanings depending on whose opinion is being used. At the simplest level superimmortalism can be understood as a rational scientific way to understand consciousness and how it relates to the self. But unlike many sciences that are indifferent to humans or even other conscious being in general, it puts conscious beings as an central part of reality and the universe. Theism tries to make people an important part of reality by connecting humans to gods that are supposed to be the all important part of reality because they created reality (the universe) and control it. Superimmortalism connects conscious beings (humans) to powerful controlling consciousnesses in entirely different ways than theism.

Superimmortality does not require continuousness of body or consciousness through time, or continuity (sameness) of consciousness or body. conscious version you can be spread out through out space and time.

Superimmortality allows for consciousnesses to be aware of other consciousness that have the same or percentage like identity of ixperiencitness

Superimmortality predict the existence of an enumerable amount of enhanced consciousnesses for most if not all ixperiencitnesses.

Like religions you can experience heaven like experiences. You can experience existence of dead loved ones in many different ways, and they can experience you in many different ways. but superimmortality predicts that there are many diffeent consciousness version of you so there can be many more loved ones that you can experience as well.

Versions of you can control what versions of you are produced --- where and when.

Religions restrict and control consciousnesses. Religious blasphemy punishes for asking questions and coming to different conclusions. Imaginary punishments are taught and preached until they are believed real for though crimes. For example, lustful thoughts can be as sinful, thus punishable, as actual adultery.

Superimmortalism does not require belief in supernatural ideas or objects.

There are more good reasons to believe in superimmortalism if it is false or partially false than theism.

Theism does not allow for superimmortality where as superimmortality does allow for theism. This is because religious consciousness are always going to be part of the the potential conscious physicontinuum and these religious consciousness can always be produced any time in the future. However theism tries to restrict the consciousnesses that are produced by making every one have the same belief system and set of behaviors. If god is in change then there is no need to take care of the earth or solve the problems that we face. This is because the ways thing are, are the way god wants them to be.

There are many awarepaths that you will exist

The potential for you consciously existing again after any death exists as long as there is the potential for the existence of a region of space that can produce physapaths that produce your ixperiencitness.

The potential set of physipaths that produce all the different conscious versions of a person exist eternally. There may or may not be more than one universe that can produce consciousnesses that you experience. But if this is the case, it is possible that this type of universe that produce human ixperiencitnesses can exist again in the future. We can not prove that a type of universe that can produce human consciousnesses can not exist in the future or has existed in the past. As such there is always the potential for its existence again.
