The unboundedness of superimmortality
The unboundedness of superimmortality
The study of consciousness --- how it is produced, and how it is tied together through space and time has lead the creators of awaretheory to superimmortality. The structure and functioning of the brain is what produces consciousness for humans. If the structure and functioning of the brain is different enough the consciousness produced by the brain will be different. But if the structure and functioning of the brain is not different it will produce the same consciousness. This says nothing about the matter used by the brain, or the place and time that the structure and functioning of the brain exists in. This is a universal technological concept; properties of objects can be duplicated with different matter in different places and times. For example, for a television to work it does not have to be made of the same matter, be made in the same way, at the same place and time, nor ever to be in the same place and or time as other televisions sets. There is great variability in the structure and functioning of a television where it will still be a working television. But very small changes can make the set not work or work in very different ways than it was designed to work. If television is made and works properly, if another one is made to be identical enough to the first working copy or any other working copy the prediction is that it will work also. If it does not then the assumption is that there are one or more differences of importance large enough that if fixed it should work. The conscious body is a physical object, and if it is duplicated closely enough to another conscious body, will produce the same consciousness the original body does or did. The brain needs to be functioning in the right ways to be producing consciousness. The amount of ways that the brain can be structured and then function over time is an enumerable amount of ways.
Some how consciousness is tied together over space and time and a change in matter. Consciousness is usually considered tied together through changes in space, time, and material composition by way of a physical body or supernatural concepts like a soul or spirits. Awaretheory ties together the changes in consciousness by way of the ixperiencitness concept. The ixperiencitness concept is not bounded by a singular body or any supernatural concept like a soul or god. Many different bodies can produce the same ixperiencitness but with a different consciousness. These consciousnesses with the same ixperiencitness can exist at the same time. They can be repeated, they can be extended after death. They do not have to have memories of each other. They can be created in many different ways. They can be enhanced and degraded. The consciousness can be combined in numerous different ways forming new and different consciousnesses still with the same ixperiencitness. Consciousnesses can be made where the reality that they exist in can be totally synthesized and very different from our natural reality that we believe exist in. Consciousness with the same ixperiencitness as others can be the ones producing the realities that their conscious versions exist in. There are an almost endless amount of realities that can be created for each ixperiencitness. The amount of things that a self can experience is almost unbounded. The effect that each ixperiencitness grouping can have on the reality that it exists in and the realities that it creates is or can be god like. Omnibenevolence is possible the bad awarepaths can be created in awarepaducers without the negative or malevolent effects they have on other awarepaths.
