Superimmortalism is not a religion. However, it gives a truer understanding of reality than religions do. It helps people to fear death less like many religions propose to do without religious dogma. There are no supernatural concepts like souls, ghosts, spirits, gods, reincarnation, or resurrection necessary for people to have to believe to understand or accept superimmortality. Superimmortality is a science based on the concepts that the functioning of the brain produces consciousness. Duplicating the structure and functioning of the brain closely enough will produce the same consciousness and ixperiencitness. There are an extremely large amount of different structures and functioning of the brain that for each person will produce a consciousness that they will experience. To consciously exist again after death one does not need continuousness of continuity of the same body. A different body does not have to have all or even any of the experiences that the old body had to have the memories that the old body had. What creates the memories in the new body is having close enough structure and functioning to some point in the old body, in the new body.
Superimmortality is not limited to one body producing one consciousness and one ixperiencitness at a time. Many different bodies can exist at the same time and through out space and time that have (or produce) the same ixperiencitness. If a body produces your ixperiencitness you experience it. It might seem counter intuitive when you think "How can I experience a consciousness that I am not currently experiencing? Aren't I only the consciousness that I am currently experiencing? You have and will experience many different things than the ones that you are experiencing now. If you imagine time traveling back into the past you can imagine watching versions of yourself and not be experiencing what they are, or you can imagine traveling into the future and encountering your future version of yourself and not even be aware of it. What you experience is dependent on how your brain is functioning at any one time. If all of a sudden your brain was changed so that it now produced the structure and functioning of someone that did not have your ixperiencitness. you would no longer experience that consciousness. On the other hand if someone else's brain produced the structure and functioning that your brain is now producing it would be producing the same consciousness that you are experiencing and you would experience it. You would not be aware of this other person just because they had your ixperiencitness. So there can be many different people that can produce a consciousness that you experience that you from your limited perspective would never know about. But none the less there are versions of your consciousnesses that you experience that can either know or believe in the existence of these other version of you. Whether these enumerable number of different conscious versions of you exist or not they are always potential or waiting to exist. It is likely that the structure and functioning of your brain that is producing the consciousness that you currently are experiencing if produced any time in the future or past, was closely enough duplicated then there you would be, just like now reading this sentence.
Religious belief systems limit what you can experience; a few years of earth based experiences them heaven with all your supposed loved ones for ever doing and experiencing very limited things that gods want you to. Or torture forever. Nothing in between. Superimmortality predicts that if you can imagine it (a particular consciousness) you likely can experience it. Imagine all the things that you can possibly do starting at this moment in your life. At least to begin with you will experience these different things. If your brain's structure and functioning changes enough you will become someone else but until then you will experience any of those varied life experiences. We know that eventually we will likely be able to control what we experience, so that experiences that are not possible to produce directly by reality can be produced by experience machine like devices. Whether or not these artificially produced consciousness are ever created or not, the potential structure and functioning of a brain that could produce them will continue into the future as long as this universe exists or another universe that have the ability to produce them exists.
A particular structure and functioning of a brain is not limited by the death of a body that produced it once. So when you die the particular structure and functioning that produced your conscious life is not impossible to recreate. It is however, unlikely to be duplicated because of it complexity but because there are so many different structures and functioning of matter that will produce a consciousness that you will experience this increases the likely hood that you will experience life after the death of your current body. A second factor that increases the likelihood of your conscious existence after death is the fact that the universe is so large and long lasting thus increasing the likely hood of a structure and functioning of matter can be created randomly that produces a consciousness that you experience. A third factor that increases the likelihood of you experiencing conscious existence after death is that there are even more enhanced versions of you than regular versions. The larger number of structures and functioning of matter that will produce your ixperiencitness the more likely you will experience existence. But also enhanced versions of you are more likely to be able to produce conscious versions of you in the first place because of their increased knowledge and technological capacity. Conscious versions of you can care about your future conscious existences and try to make it as good as possible. So you do not have to rely on the whims of an uncaring or inept god or gods.
You do not have to continuously exist through time so there can be long periods where there is no consciousness that you experience. We can know what it is like not to consciously exist for any period of time. Blink your eye fast, what you experienced in that period of time is more than what you would experience in any time period of being dead or not consciously existing at all anywhere.
Personal identity is not ixperiencitness identity. You can have personal identity without ixperiencitness identity. You can have ixperiencitness identity without personal identity. That is why your body can die and you can at a different times, places, and with a different bodies and different life experiences consciously exist again without gods, souls, or other supernatural concepts
