The science of superimmortality explains why and how conscious existence after death is possible. Superimmortality does not guarantee a time, place or specifics about the consciousnesses you will experience after the death of your current body. Superimmortality does not require continuousness of conscious existence in one or many different bodies but there can be continuousness of self without continuousness of bodies in space and time. As a result you can exist here now and not be aware that the next thing that you experience can be produced by a different body in a very different time and place.
Superimmortality is very different from religious forms of immortality. Superimmortality uses or needs no supernatural concepts like gods, souls, heavens, hells, or processes like reincarnation or resurrection. Superimmortality is based on the brain producing the self as a property that is produced by the functioning of the brain. As a property it can be duplicated in other bodies producing the same or a close structure and functioning. One of the purposes of the science of superimmortality is determining how many different structures and functioning of matter or physapaths will produce a consciousness that you will experience.
Why would future generations want to revive dead people that have been cryogenically frozen, except for experimental purposes. The resources to keep a person frozen will eventually run out and then this person's body will be treated like all the other dead bodies ---- buried or cremated. Superimmortality predicts that a body can produce many different consciousnesses or selves (ixperiencitnesses) as a result the revived body could produce an ixperiencitness that is not yours. The resources that are spent on cryogenic freezing could be spent on the science of superimmortality.
There are a very large amount of conscious versions of yourself or awarepaths that you will experience if a body produces one of the corresponding structures and functioning matter. There are even more enhanced conscious versions of you. Conscious versions of you can be involved in the future creation of other conscious versions of you. Thus they can be more caring about what you experience than the random conscious creations produced by nature.
