The Existence of a Soul (Part 1/2) Atheist Experience

From Aware Theory

5:14 Jen says:

One of the things that you can not replicate if you created a clone of a human and somehow managed to bring that person to adult hood in a short time, popped them out so you have this clone that is biologically identical .... you can't replicate all the experiences that person has been through and we are the some of our experiences to a large extent a lot of and the way we think what we think is a produce of what we have experienced in life.

The problem with this statement is that much of it is wrong. How are previous experienced carried into the future by the body physically? Superimmortality predicts that it is done by changing the structure of the brain. You have an experience, it changes the structure of the brain so that at a future time when the brain functions in certain ways it produces a memory of this event. The memory is only a partial recreation of the event. The memory of the event an be totally wrong. There is no supernatural events of objects that carry the memories of event into the future, To create a memory of an event the brain has to function in specific ways to produce this memory. Superimmortality predicts that no matter how a structure and functioning of a brain over time is produced it will produce the same memories. The proof of this is if a continuing identically replica (or cidentireplica) is created it will produce the same identical behavior as the original. If the original is describing a memory and the cidentireplica body, by definition, is producing the same structure and functioning it will be describing having the exact same memory, This is true no matter how or how fast the cidentireplica was made. Or even where, when, or what the matter the cidentireplica was made of.

A principle of superimmortality: Experiences do not have to be replicated in a conscious being to create memories of these experiences in a different conscious beings. What is necessary is the replication of the correct structures and functioning of matter.

At 6:42 Matt says: But your question about making a duplicate of me, the answer is its still a duplicate and it not me.

And by the way the net effect you're talking about meaning It wouldn't matter someday your right someday, if current models are right the universe is going to suffer heat death and at which point there will be nothing alive no minds no thoughts and at that point everything will be meaningless. But the meaning is something that is current right now when I am dead it my not matter to people that come 3000 years after me from now that I ever lived but it matters to me right now and that what I meant by perspective. from my perspective I can't tell if you changed my computer when it identical I might suspect every day I can tell

you definitely killed me.
