Same person arguments

From Aware Theory

Same person arguments are arguments that try to determine under what conditions are you or some one else is the same person over time an different types of changes. They are some of the reasons that there is not a coherent scientific materialistic theory of life after death until awaretheory was develped. It is an example of not having the right words to properly describe the scientific conditions involved. The ixperiencitness word/ concept in many ways solves this problem. At the very least it shows how there is much more going on than determining who is the same person over time. For instance the same person may not have the same ixperiencitness from one time to the next. This is because the ixperiencitness is not determined by being the same person but having the same ixperiencitness. A different person can have the same ixperiencitness and the same person can have a different or changing ixperiencitness over time. The ixperiencitness concept is intuitive.

The same person arguments comes down to determining what make the same person over time? The problem that we have is the assumption that the same person arguments can be used for determining cases of life after death and immortality. But they cannot with any accuracy. Awaretheory argues that for cases of life after death and immortality for you are any original there has to be a consciousness that you experience that is being produced.

Assimilation of matter arguments, replacement of matter arguments, speed of assimilation of matter arguments, interchange of matter arguments, fission of bodies arguments, fusion of bodies arguments, fragmentation of bodies arguments, all show how incomplete, non explanatory, and unpredictive same person arguments are.
