Superimmortality does not require that there to be anything that persist after a person is dead and decomposed. Lets use the TV analogy to explain. Both the TV and the human body are made of matter and we assume because we have no reason to believe other wise that they don't have supernatural aspects like souls. If for some reason, all of the matter and energy is destroyed and can not exist again then neither the TV or human body can exist again. But when a human body is decomposed the matter that the body was made of has changed composition and has been dispersed. A TV can also be destroyed burned up and the ashes dispersed. Can the TV ever exist again? Not likely if it is necessary to put all of the same original matter together in the same original relationship. But maybe it does not take this process to make the TV again maybe all that is necessary is to get the right parts and then put it together again in the right structure. But lets say you do not have the parts. You do not know how to make the parts. And then you do not know how to put the parts together in the right structure. Does this mean that there will never be a TV existing again ever?
Superimmortality predicts that it is the right structure and functioning of matter that produces consciousness and ixperiencitness. If what we think we know is valid then the universe randomly produced our bodies and its structure and functioning. Unless it is vast enough and long lasting enough with the right set of conditions it is not likely to produce any one again. There was no you before you existed, no soul, no self, no blue prints, that showed how to make you. But there was the potential. This potential is just the fact that certain structures and functioning of matter could produce a consciousness that you could experience. That potential is not gone with the destruction of you body. Before any TV was ever built there was the potential that this structure of matter was possible. Even if all TVs are gone, all people that can make TVs are gone, and no one will ever make another TV again there is still the potential for TVs to exist again.
