I care argument

Is it an uncaring universe? Many people believe that without a god the universe or reality is an uncaring place and nothing but a short, random, and purposeless conscious existence. One of the reasons for this is the belief that if there is no god then there is no life after death, because, the belief is, it takes a god to restore human life after the body's death. Without life after death it appears to many that there is no fairness or justice for conscious beings because some good people have awful lives while other undeserving people have wonderful lives. However, if superimmortality is true then conscious life has meaning, purpose, value and is fair and caring. I as a conscious being care about the suffering of others. I as a conscious being can make life better, more fair and just in many different ways for other conscious beings without making my conscious life unbearable, unlivable and unwanted. Other conscious beings like humans can do the same. How can this be true? What you consciously experience is not tied to one body as many people believe. What you experience is tied to the way the brain is structured and then functions. If you duplicate the structure and functioning of your brain between any two points in your present body's life time, this duplicated structure and functioning over this period will duplicate the consciousness that you experienced at that time and you will experience that consciousness just like you did the first time it occurred. Consequently, any conscious part of your life can be duplicated. This replicated structure and functioning of your brain does not have to be exact to produce the exact same consciousness that you again experience. Undesirable parts of your conscious experiences can be removed with better experiences replacing them. This can be achieved by modifying the structure and functioning of the brain during these bad experiences and replacing them with the structures and functioning of the brain that will produce more positive consciousnesses experiences. This is just the beginning of what the science of superimmortality predicts. Whole new consciousnesses can be produced that you will experience produced by different bodies. These different bodies can be created by nature (like you current body appears to have been), or by the deliberate actions of other conscious beings.

This is where the "I care argument" comes into the mix. I care enough to help develop other conscious versions of conscious beings that have suffered unfairly unjustly needlessly etc., in the past and will try to avoid this occurring, without good reasons, in the future.
