Fidentireplica existence arguments
More actions
Fidentireplica existence arguments are arguments for the existence of either actual or potential fidentireplicas. A fidentireplica is a fragmented identical replica. One definition of of the word fragmented is spread out over a bigger spacial area. Can a brain that is spread out over a bigger area still produce a consciousness? It appears that a brain can be spread out over a larger area and still can produce consciousness. Experiments can be imagined performed where one atom is added to a brain, as naturally occurs in the growth of a brain of a child as it continues to produce consciousness. With an adult brain experiments can be carried out where the neurons are widened and lengthened. The resulting brain will be more fragmented.
Electronic devices can be spread apart and still function and serve the same purpose as before.
How much fragmentation can occur to a brain and it still produce the same consciousness and ixperiencitness?
Superimmortality predicts that there are a number of fragmented structures of consciousness producing brains or other equivalent consciousness produce structures that can produce the same consciousness. And even more that will produce a different consciousness but the same ixperiencitness. Since ixperiencitness is a continuum concept there can be percentage wise equality of ixperiencitnesses.
