Mortalists theories of afterlives

Mortalists theories of afterlives are based on the belief that when you die you will never experience being conscious again in any form. This belief is founded on the fact that there are no supernatural souls or equivalent that exist apart from the body that can become detached from the body at death and continue to produce some form of consciousness in this disconnected state. Superimmortality proposes that you are not a body but the structure and functioning of a body. Where an exact replicate of a body is not physically identically to its original, the structure and functioning does not have this limitation. Two different bodies can have identical structure and functioning without being physically identical. Two different computers can have identical structures and then function identically without being physically identical.
