Directed evolution
Directed genetic evolution is a form of Directed evolution. But it is not the only form of evolution. One type of random conscious evolution is based on genetic evolution but the goal is not a particular consciousness or the advancement of consciousness it is a perpetuation of genes that change to adapt to environmental changes. If people that we are less conscious produced more children than the more conscious people did, there would be evolution toward their being less conscious people. There are many scenarios where this could happen. Directed genetic evolution would try to avoid this situation if the goal of this directed genetic evolution was the the perpetuation of people with at least the conscious levels that they have now. For directed genetic evolution to exist there has to be an understanding of how evolution is going without direction, and then to have goals for how conscious beings are to evolve into the future. If there is not an understanding of how genes and the other complex chemical processes involved in the production of conscious beings work there can be no directed genetic evolution. However, trial and error is the basis for scientific experimentation. Discovering what different DNA molecules will produce in different human bodies is the first step in knowing what genes will produce what consequences in a body.
Darwinian evolution is genetic evolution, but the concept of evolution is the concept of change and what produces change. Evolution is often assumed that it will alway develop to a positive consequence. It is only positive for current survival sometimes. If there are large enough changes in the environment the evolution to that point can mean the end of the species because a species adapts to its environment, and now if the environment has changed enough the species might have developed ways of coping that are now very counter productive to its survival. Genes are influenced by many different environmental factors such as radiation, random chemical reactions, viruses, bacteria, reproduction rates, chemical environment, food availability, mate availability, mate receptivity, mate desirability, type of reproduction, climate, etc. Random genetic evolution is directed by these factors.
Directed conscious evolution is for conscious being the most important type of evolution. Directed conscious evolution can be simply defined as consciousnesses directing the creation of which consciousnesses get produced and which consciousness do not get produced. Which consciousness get produced and in which order that they get produced can mean if the consciousness will survive into the future. Each consciousness or conscious generation has to make sure that they survive or that they create another generation of consciousnesses that will survive and that can continue or reproduce another conscious generation. Most people want people to survive into the future. It it sad for many people to think that there can be an end to all of mankind. They think this even if they believe that they will never exist again or that they will go to heaven. Awaretheory changes this perspective by introducing the concept of ixperiencitness. Ixperiencitness ties consciousnesses together which it means it ties together people in new and unexpected ways. If you understand the ixperiencitness concept you are not concerned so much about people surviving over time but consciousnesses surviving over time. Awaretheory predicts that there are many more consciousnesses that you can experience than the one that seem to have human bodies. You are tied to other people by the experience of having a human body. So you hope to continue this experience of having a human body into the future. But awaretheory predicts that there are many different types of bodies that you can experience other than just human bodies.
