The term better has many meanings depending on whose opinion is being used. At the simplest level superimmortalism can be understood as a rational scientific way to understand consciousness and the self. But unlike many sciences that are indifferent to humans or even other conscious being in general, it puts conscious beings as an central part of reality and the universe. Theism tries to make people an important part of reality by connecting humans to gods that are supposed to be the all important part of reality because they created reality (the universe) and control it. Superimmortalism connects conscious beings (humans) to all powerful consciousnesses in entirely different ways than theism.
