Life after death for yourself means that you consciously expereince something after your body dies. This does not include periods of time when your heart stops for a few minutes. Actual death, in this definition, means beyond the period of time where you can be resuscitated under normal circumstances. This can be a relatively long time for a child in ice cold water.

Life after death of you for others is that your body died but after a period on non animation including no heart beat, you then return to looking and behaving at least approximately like you would have if you had not have died. There is no requirement that you be consciousness. The only requirements are that you act like you are conscious. For instance, if someone asked if you are conscious you can make the approximate remarks.
