Emergent consciousness
It is likely that all consciousness is emergent from the functioning of matter and energy. However, there is another concept of emergent consciousness that it is based on the ideas in this question: Does a physipath produce every possible consciousness that the simiphysipath that are contained within it produce, even if only for an instance?
Several examples of the complexity of the issue:
We can imagine all sorts of different physipaths with all sorts of different structure and functioning in many different ways effected by external sources (externapath) and the senses (sensepath). We can imagine much more complex structures than the human brain, by imagining bigger, more layers, more interconnections, more neurons, etc. Now imagine that super brain containing a human brain that is producing a human consciousness. You might say at this point that this is impossible because the human brian is stimulated by the senses and there would be no senses stimulation involved. A human brain can still produce consciousness even when it is not connected to the senses sort like dreaming. It is however being stimulated by the surrounding brain. We are not try saying that this human brain is producing a normal consciousness it can be a crazy or what we might call abnormal so to speak, as long as it is an independent consciousness. What is an independent consciousness? What you are experiencing right, hopefully, appears to be independent of some other consciousness. It is not part of another consciousness that you are aware of.
The selfawarepath is an emergent property that deals with the functioning of the physipath itself rather than the sensepath.
Simidentireplicas, insidentireplicas, musidentireplicas, in certain ways deal with these concepts in the form of simipaths insipaths and muspaths.
Emergecept is the name of the concept that deals with emergent properties of consciousness.
