Argument for simplicity for itoextension
More actions
The argument for simplicity for itoextension is that a very simple explanation for how itoextension works, that is coherent with science, is better than a complex theory.
Adding the concept of a soul or the equivalent is making a more complex theory. As is making the specific matter, space, or time important factors. Continuity of matter or consciousness are two more complicating factors. One might say that if these are complicating specific factors then including the concept of structure and functioning is much more complex than all the other concepts combined. This is true, but to have a system of knowledge that deals with an extremely complex system with enumerable possible outcomes somewhere there has to be a part of the system that can generate the appropriate predictive complexity. The concept of itoextension can be stated in a very simple fashion approximate the structure and functioning of a conscious being any time before death in a itobody any time after death with any matter at any place, and you approximate the consciousness and ixperiencitness of the original. If you exactly duplicate the structure and functioning over a period of time then you exactly duplicate the consciousness and ixperiencitness over that period of time.
A simply stated concept for an extremely complex system.
