For instance any theory that has to use a soul concept or equivalent is not scientific even though the arguments may be logical, because the concept of a soul is not scientific. A theory can postulate an infinite amount of concepts, but if they do not exist in some scientific way, they cannot be used in a scientific theory. Any soul inclusive theory that uses the existence of a soul as a necessary part of it will be pseudo scientific until souls can actually be scientifically studied.

Specific matter theories of life after death cannot specify what properties of matter are necessary for a continuation of the self. It comes down to answering this question: Why is it scientifically necessary to have the same matter, or a specific sequence of matter to produce the same ixperiencitness?

Continuity or continuance of consciousness theories do not have the answers either. The problem comes down to: Why do you have to have continuance or continuity of consciousness for a body to produce the same ixperiencitness?
