For many people and conscious beings in general, one of the most important kinds of awarepaths are connective awarepaths.

Connective awarepaths consciously connect awarepaths in many differnt ways. For example, you believe that you are connected to your past and will be to your future experiences (the rest of your life). What makes this connection? You are connected to the past by memories of the past experiences. You experience a continuousness of change over time. What makes people different from many animals is our increased ability to plan for the future. So we see and believe that we will experience something in the future. And since we remember the past we think that we will remember our present experiences to some degree in the future. Most people think of themselves as a singular body producing a singular consciousness or at least connected as in experiencing a singular consciousness. As a consequence, many people believe that after death, any conscious connection to this previous life will be a singular consciousness as well.
