God like intervention is not the intervention in the natural events by god, but by other conscious beings that have some control over events that are happening to other conscious beings. For example, some one that believes in god might say that they were saved from a natural disaster by an act of god, when actually it was another conscious being that had the ability to change the outcomes of events in this situation and then did change them with the positive outcome.
