Continuity of consciousness

From Aware Theory

"Continuity of consciousness" is defined as the continuity of the awarepath which is produced by the continuity of the physapath. A continuous physapath is different from a physapath with continuity. A continuous physapath is a physapath where the sequential physapoints are next to each other in space and time. A physapath with continuity has cohesion of physapoints meaning that they change very little from one physapoint to the next when considered from a variation in structure and functioning stand point rather than a closeness in space and time perspective. Two or more physapoints can be cohesive in structure with out being next to each other.

The body theory of self requires continuousness in the physapath to create the continuation of the same ixperiencitness through time and space. Whereas superimmortality predicts that continuity or cohesiveness will also produce the same ixperiencitness without continuousness of the physapath. This allows for the multiplicity of self and life after death in other bodies.
