TV analogy for superimmortality

From Aware Theory
(Redirected from TV analogy)
TV analogy for mortality
What ties together the self is the body or TV. There is one body for the self. When that body dies that is the permanent end of the self.
TV analogy for extended mortality
Extending life span before death is analogous to repairing the TV before its death. What ties together the self is the body or TV itself. Making a more durable TV to last longer is like making a person with better genes that can withstand detrimental environmental conditions better.
TV analogy for extended mortality after death
Extending life span after death by the cryogenics freezing of the body is analogous to a broken TV waiting for a repairman of the future. What ties together the self is the body or TV

TV analogy for supernatural immortality: The TV has a supernatural part that can not be seen or scientifically examined that leaves the body (TV) at death and eventually goes into another singular body -- one successive TV thereafter.

For reincarnation the TV becomes more or less advanced in later versions --- lives. What ties together the self is the soul between different bodies what ties together the original TV with a singular successive TVs is its supernatural part (imagined but actually none existent part).
For resurrection what ties together the self is the body (the TV) and the soul or analogously its supernatural part of the TV.

TV analogy for superimmortality The TV produces the show, this is part of what a conscious being is

There can be variations in the TV.
You are not the body but the show.
Many different TVs can produce the same presentation consciousness.
There can be variations in the presentation.
The same TV can produce the show of different conscious beings.
They exist in space and time made of different matter
No supernatural aspects like souls, sprits, ghosts etc.
No need for gods for this type of immortality, but enhanced conscious beings can exist producing enhanced consciousnesses that can seem god like to some versions of the self.
