We think that we are tied to one particular past awarepath by our memories of our experiences. But since our memories are not always accurate we are actually tied to awarepaths that we have not actually experienced. We are not tied to a particular unique actual awarepath but to potential awarepaths as well. So when we might argue that is not me because I do not experience it from my present perspective of consciousness, but allow it to be you that you have actually experienced and have memories of you have memories that you did not experience as an actual awarepath
