An [[Itodimension]] is like a spacial dimension in the sense that it can be broken down into a continuum of pieces that can be aligned such that the ones that are closest together in some concept are closest together in the the dimension. Scales are a part of a dimension because they range between two extremes.  

An example of an [[itophysadimension]] might be the speed that a particular neuron is firing. This is a limited sized [[itodimension]] because a neuron can fire only so fast. Since there are billions of neurons in the brain there would be billions of [[itodimension]]s of this sort in this type of [[physapath]]. Any time there is a range that some [[itoconcept]] covers or changes over, it can be represented as an [[itodimension]] or by a set of[[ itodimension]]s. 

A numerical linear dimension dealing with real numbers goes to infinity in two directions, negative and positive, and between any two numbers on this number line is a real infinite amount of numbers. This type of complexity is usually not necessary but is available when dealing with [[itodimension]]s. The number [[itodimension]]s in a [[itocontinuum]] can be extremely large. The size depends on  the goal that the [[itocontinuum]] is being used for. One use [[itocontinuum]]s is for [[itomapping]]. There can be a direct one to one [[itomapping]] between[[ itodimension]]s. But usually there will be many [[physidimension]]s itomapping to fewer [[awaredimension]]s. Comparison of [[itopaths]] can be achived by a comparison of the [[itodimension]]s in each successive [[itomoment]].  Another use is for the representation of of the [[itospace]] in terms of [[epispaces]].
