Consciously experience something

Can we experience something without "consciously" experiencing something? The body can respond to external stimuli without being consciously aware of the stimuli or body's response. If you are your body then your body can experiencing something without consciously experiencing it. Usually there will be no memory of this this type experienced event. An example of this could be during a brain operation a part of the brain is stimulated and as a result apart of the body moves. This person could be under the influence of anesthesia and not be conscious at all. But the person could be awake and aware of this body moment and form a memory of this event. He will be conscious of the event at the time and also be conscious of the event at latter times by way of this memory. There are also other possibilities like the memory is permanently lost, where under no condition can the person have this memory again even though he did experience the event at the time. A further possibility is the memory is retrieved or recreated only under specific conditions that may or may not occur again in a person life time. This person might also have not experienced the event at the time but the event not only made part of his body move it also created a change in the brain where later the person remembered the event even though at the time he did not experience the original event.
