The concept of a limit is very useful in the understanding of continuums, When we deal with real number continuums there is never a closest number to a another number different. For instance, what is the closest number to 0? Is it ,001 , .0001 or .0000001? No matter how many zeros you put in front of the 1 there can always be ones that can be added to create a number closer. This idea can be applied to physicontinuums in determining the closeness of different physipoints on different physipaths.
