Epistemology as defined here is the scientific study of knowledge. Knowledge appears to require the existence of consciousness and ixperiencitness to exist. We can thus say that epistemology is also the scientific study of consciousness and ixperiencitness. How can we know anything with out being conscious? A book of calculus is full of knowledge but without some conscious being seeing it and being able to understand it, if only by pictures it is just another object. Knowledge resides in consciousness and ixperiencitness that is generated by the structure and functioning of matter.
